Free wedding guest list template

A ready-made guest list with the columns a wedding needs. Fill it in, then turn the names and addresses into envelope labels in minutes.

Free while in beta · no card needed

How it works

  1. Download the template. Choose the Excel (.xlsx) file, or the CSV file for Google Sheets or Numbers. Both have the same headings.
  2. Fill it in, one guest per row. Delete the two grey example rows first. Keep the heading row at the top.
  3. Paste the list into LabelPeel. Copy the rows with the heading row, or upload the file. Pick your sheet, check the labels, and print.

Make address labels from your list

What is in the template

The first seven columns are the address columns. LabelPeel reads these headings, so keep them as they are.

ColumnWhat goes in it
Guest nameThe name on the envelope, such as Mr. and Mrs. David Brown
Address, Address 2The street and any apartment or suite line
City, State, ZIP, CountryThe town, state, ZIP code and country (leave Country blank in the US)
Email, PhoneContact details, for thank-you notes or changes
SideBride, Groom or Both
GroupFamily, Friends or Work
Number invitedHow many seats the invitation covers
Save the date sentYes or No
Invitation sentYes or No
RSVPYes, No or Waiting
Number attendingHow many guests are coming
Meal choiceThe meal the guest picked
TableThe table number for the seating plan
GiftA gift you received
Thank-you sentYes or No
NotesAnything else, such as a dietary need

The example rows show the format. Replace them with your own guests.

Use it in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers

  • Excel: Double-click the .xlsx file. The heading row is frozen, so it stays on the screen as you scroll. Use the arrow buttons on the heading row to filter by RSVP or Side.
  • Google Sheets: Click File › Import, choose the Upload tab, and pick the CSV or Excel file. Google Sheets keeps the columns and the heading row.
  • Numbers: Open the CSV or .xlsx file with File › Open. Check the ZIP column, because some ZIP codes start with zero and must stay as text.

Save a copy each time you change the list. Keep the original template for next time.

Make labels from your list

  1. Copy every row, from the heading row down, and paste it into LabelPeel. You can also upload the saved file.
  2. Pick Avery® 5160. It has 30 labels on a sheet, and each label is 1 inch by 2⅝ inches.
  3. Ask the AI helper to change the list. Try "only keep the rows where RSVP is Yes" or "sort by ZIP". Each change is shown on the labels before you print.
  4. Print a test page on plain paper and hold it over a label sheet. Then print on your labels at 100% or Actual size.

See the guide to printing labels from Excel if your list is already open there, or the guide to addressing wedding invitations for the layout of the envelope.

Ideas you can type

The AI helper changes every label at once. Try asking for:

  • "Only keep the rows where RSVP is Yes."
  • "Sort by ZIP so the post is easy to bundle."
  • "Make the labels where Side is Bride pink."
  • "Make it elegant for a wedding."
  • "Add a thin rounded border."

Tips

  • Keep one guest per row. A couple can share a row with the name "Mr. and Mrs. David Brown".
  • Use the same spelling for every address, so the labels look neat.
  • Use the Waiting value in RSVP until the guest replies. Then change it to Yes or No.
  • Keep a copy of the list before you filter it. Filters hide rows, so check the count before you print.
  • Print one test page before you print the full set.
